My name is Marco Piat. I was educated at Brisbane Grammar School and the University of Queensland where I completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
After finishing my degree, I settled in Port Douglas in 1982. From 1983 I ran our family restaurant for 4 years in Port Douglas called Danny's Brasserie (now Salsa Bar & Grill).
After leasing the restaurant in late-1986, I worked a total of 13 years as Director of Finance for Sheraton at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast and The Westin Resort Guam.
I left the company and moved back to Port Douglas from Guam mid-2000 and started Computer Accounting Services Port Douglas and Port Douglas Web Design (which I have recently sold).
Being a tourist town, my clients represent a wide range of businesses from resorts to restaurants, tour companies and shops.
I have been using MYOB in a variety of businesses since the software was first released in the early 1990's.
